Mid-Autumn Festival

Hey guys! I'm finally back! Sorry for the lack of updates yeah, cos I had to prepare for my 'O' Levels which were all crammed up in the month of October. -.- Makes people so stressed right? Worse still, it's in my birthday month. :/ ...... I know I won't score that well for 'O' Levels though - I seriously didn't put in much effort. Ah, don't even want to talk about it. Right, let's move on.

I know Mid-Autumn Festival has passed for nearly 2 months(?) already, but I really wanted to blog about this because it was a new experience for me and my friends this year. ^^ We all know the legend behind Mid-Autumn Festival right? The day where Chang E and her lover gets to meet on a bridge made of birds and blahblahblah. Well, I learned something new this year about Mid-Autumn Festival(due to the lecture we had in school).

In the olden times, China had wars, you know, the fighting and slashing and stuff. Since in a war, it's always so chaotic and there are spies everywhere, important messages couldn't be transmitted from one place to another without getting discovered. So, this particular general, (forgot what his name was) thought of a BRILLIANT idea - putting messages in mooncakes. And yeah, you can guess it. Nobody bothered to check those mooncakes, so secret messages were transmitted successfully. Then, that party won the war and to celebrate, they ate mooncakes. So yeah, that's the real history.

Hehe, on to the best part! As I said before, it was a new experience for my friends and I. My whole clique, (okay, we were missing 3) Joey, Renny, Wee Yan, Mun Yee, Zafirah, Jacinth, Meli and me went to West Coast Park to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival! We also partly went there to relive our childhood memories. Hahaha! So here's the pics.

Us three! Meli, Jac, and me!

And there! Renny's arrival! Lol, she looks so scary here. Hahaha. She actually wasn't able to make it but eventually, she did!

                                                                              Joey!

                                                                     Photobomb? Haha!

This was our 2nd attempt at photographing after the 1st turned out hideous and quite comical trying  to shield our eyes from my camera's flash. Hahaha!

                                                           Candles! To prepare for...

Meli writing her wish on the lantern!

Other than that, bye!(:
